From Shadow Season to Harvest: Faith, Business, and Real Estate Growth
Have you ever had a season in business where you felt like you were doing everything right—showing up, being consistent, sowing the seeds God told you to plant—yet… nothing?
The inbox is quiet.
The clients are slower to come.
The numbers don’t quite match the effort.
You’re still being obedient. You’re still showing up. You’re still saying “yes” to what He’s asked you to do. But the fruit? It feels hidden.
Friend, that’s what I call a shadow season.
We don’t talk enough about those moments. The ones where obedience feels invisible, where faith is stretched thin, and where you’re tempted to believe that maybe you’re doing it wrong. But let me remind you—shadow seasons don’t mean failure. They mean you’re being prepared.
The Sacred Weight of Obedience
Let’s be real. Obedience can feel heavy.
Especially when:
The clients are trickling in slower than you hoped.
Your clarity feels foggy.
You’re pouring into your business while also trying to pour into your family.
You see other agents closing deals and wonder, “Lord, when will it be my turn?”
I’ve been there. More than once.
The truth is, obedience is sacred because it’s not tied to applause. It’s tied to trust. You’re not chasing the algorithm. You’re not striving for claps and likes. You’re choosing to be faithful even when no one is watching but God.
That’s the kind of obedience that shakes heaven.
My Personal Shadow Season
A few years ago, after giving birth to my son, my business looked… different. I was exhausted, healing, and grieving the parts of myself that felt lost in motherhood. On the outside, it looked like I’d “stepped back.” On the inside, God was teaching me how to rely on Him in deeper ways.
I had to rebuild everything—from my routines to my systems to my confidence.
And let me tell you, it felt invisible. There were days where I wondered if anyone even noticed the work I was putting in behind the scenes. But God saw it. And looking back now, I see that was a season of hidden planting. A season of pruning. A season of trust.
Listen: A Faith Conversation with Rosemary Lewis
Not long ago, I sat down with my friend Rosemary Lewis on my podcast, and whew—the conversation felt like confirmation.
We talked about the tension of entrepreneurship and motherhood.
We talked about the grief that lingers even when the world expects you to bounce back.
We talked about holy detours—those unexpected turns that don’t make sense until they do.
And here’s what hit me the hardest: faith in business isn’t about hype—it’s about harvest.
Harvest only comes after hidden planting. After pruning. After obedience when nobody’s watching.
That’s what Rosemary and I unpacked together, and I promise, if you’re in one of those shadow seasons, her words will minister to you.

Why Shadow Seasons Matter
Here’s the thing: the unseen work matters.
Every client touchpoint you set up.
Every late-night prayer you whisper.
Every system you quietly build that no one sees yet.
That’s not wasted. That’s seed.
And when the harvest comes, you’ll look back and realize—obedience in the shadows prepared you for it.
Obedience doesn’t mean hustling harder. It doesn’t mean burning out or wearing all the hats yourself. It means stewardship. It means building with intention so that when the fruit comes, you’re ready for it.
So if you’re feeling unseen in your obedience right now, let me encourage you:
You’re not behind.
You’re not forgotten.
You’re not doing it wrong.
You are exactly where He wants you.
Your obedience today is the seed of someone else’s answered prayer tomorrow. That seed might take time to sprout, but don’t dig it up just because you don’t see growth yet.
Join Us: The Real Estate Bestie Experience — Frisco, TX Sept 21-24, 2025
Here’s the truth: there are times when shadow seasons feel so heavy that you can’t carry them alone.
That’s why rooms matter.
Sometimes, you need to step into a space where other women of faith understand the tension. A space where you can be poured into instead of constantly pouring out. A space where you’re reminded that you’re not crazy, you’re not behind, and you’re not walking this journey alone.
That’s why I’m so excited to invite you to the Real Estate Bestie Experience, hosted by Rosemary Lewis, on September 21-24, 2025, in Frisco, Texas.
This is more than just an event. It’s a divine appointment.
I’ll be there—speaking, praying, and receiving right alongside you. And if you’ve been craving encouragement, clarity, and connection in your business and your faith, this is the room you need to be in.
What you heard in the podcast? That was just a glimpse. Imagine a whole day surrounded by women who get it. Women who are building businesses without losing their souls. Women who want to steward both their success and their seasons with grace.
That’s what the Real Estate Bestie Experience is about.
So, friend, if you’re in a shadow season, here’s my encouragement: don’t quit.
Keep planting.
Keep trusting.

Because one day soon, what you built in private will be the testimony God uses in public.
And when that harvest comes, you’ll be glad you didn’t quit.
