Why CEO Time Is Your New Non-Negotiable
There’s a moment in every purpose-driven woman’s journey where she doesn’t just feel the weight—she discerns the misalignment.
For me, that moment didn’t come in the chaos of a launch or the pressure of a packed calendar.
It came quietly—through study, prayer, and reflection.
I wasn’t overwhelmed by everything I had to do.
I was grieved by how much I had been carrying without clarity.
I sat before God and whispered,
“I’m faithful. I’m obedient. But something still feels off.”
And He responded:
“Daughter, it’s not that you’re doing too much. You’re building without full alignment. Let Me lead—and the leverage will come with ease.”
That was the day I learned the power of CEO Time.
Not as a buzzword.
Not as a productivity hack.
But as a sacred rhythm. A spiritual strategy. A non-negotiable space where clarity, direction, and divine downloads live.
“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” — Proverbs 3:6
Let’s Get Real: You’re Managing Tasks Instead of Leading Vision
Let’s be honest—most women I coach didn’t start their business to be the busiest person in the room. They started because they had vision, passion, purpose. But somewhere along the way, the to-do list took the driver’s seat.
You went from CEO to chief everything officer.
Sound familiar?
Here’s the truth: You can’t lead at the level you’re called to from a reactive state. You can’t build legacy from burnout.
You need white space to think.
You need time to strategize.
You need margin to hear from God.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
That’s what CEO Time gives you.
What CEO Time Really Is (And What It’s Not)
CEO Time isn’t about catching up on admin or finally getting to the bottom of your inbox.
It’s about:
• Reconnecting to your why and realigning your how
• Reviewing what’s working and what’s not—with honesty and grace
• Making spirit-led decisions instead of knee-jerk reactions
• Giving yourself space to be the visionary and the vessel
It’s not another task. It’s a divine appointment.
It’s where you meet with God, your goals, and your gifts—and receive what you need to move forward.
“Write the vision and make it plain…” — Habakkuk 2:2
CEO Time is where strategy meets surrender.
Why It Feels Hard to Prioritize (and Why You Must Anyway)
I know what you’re carrying. Clients. Children. Aging parents. Staff. Groceries. Grief. Deadlines. Disappointment. Hope.
But let me gently say this:
If your business only runs when you’re running on empty, it’s not built to last.
You can delegate tasks.
You can outsource operations.
But your vision? Your wisdom? Your alignment? That comes from your time with God.
If you don’t make space for stillness, your days will always be driven by urgency instead of divine order.
CEO Time isn’t a luxury. It’s a lifeline.
What Happens When You Actually Make Space
Here’s what I’ve seen—not just in myself, but in hundreds of women I’ve coached:
• You lead with clarity instead of confusion
• You build from flow, not force
• You trust your decisions instead of second-guessing everything
• You create systems that support you instead of enslaving you
When you prioritize CEO Time, you stop striving and start stewarding. You stop surviving and start strategizing.
And that? That’s where true alignment lives.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
My Rhythm: What CEO Time Actually Looks Like
Every Sunday, I block off what I call my Sacred CEO Hour. Sometimes it’s 20 minutes. Sometimes it’s two hours. But it’s always intentional.
Here’s what I do:
• Pray + Reflect: I ask God what I need to release, what I need to rebuild, and what needs my obedience.
• Review My Calendar: I make sure my time reflects my values—not just my obligations.
• Check My Numbers: I peek at income, expenses, and open loops.
• Plan My Delegation: I ask, “What do I need to stop doing?” and prep what I’ll hand off to my VA.
• Set My Top 3 Priorities: I decide what success looks like this week—not just in tasks, but in impact.
It’s not about perfection. It’s about presence.
“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3
